A warm fuzzy…

 

Sometimes photography can just be…. for fun. There, I’ve said it. Nothing deep, introspective, earth shattering or otherworldly. Sometimes, it’s just a moment in time, a brief emotion, a connection with something or someone. So tonight, as I post this, I am sharing with you–the kind, interested, and supportive followers that have joined my blog posts for the last year and a half and who have occasionally offered an encouraging word or two–a “warm, fuzzy.” This is our lop-ear bunny, a big sweet ball of softness, whose kind, gentle, soulful eyes just seemed to say “share me.” So here you are. On high alert…

Well, hello there, Big Ears! This mother bunny has been a resident in our yard for a couple of years now, and I have photographed her many times. (She has a little notch in her far ear that makes her distinctive.) But the story that unfolded the day I shot this image was something I’d never seen before. If she looks like she is on high alert–pink ears standing at attention–it’s because she is.
